Francis Ostermeijer is a PhD Economist with a specialisation in transport economics, urban economics, and applied econometrics (see Linkedin). Francis has extensive experience in applied economic research, as well as managing teams and stakeholders, having previously worked as a Principal Consultant at NERA.

Francis has consulted public and private decision-makers in a range of sectors including transport (road, rail, aviation, parking, and automotive), construction, housing, industry, and energy with expertise in impact assessment, cost benefit analysis, economic regulation, damage assessment, and econometric modelling. Some examples of clients Francis has worked with include: The Greater London Authority (GLA), The Royal Academy of Engineering, the Ministry of Infrastructure in a (confidential) European Country, various (confidential) companies that purchased trucks from the European Truck Cartel, High Speed 2, and the UK Civil Aviation Authority.

With 200+ citations, Francis has co-authored several peer reviewed and industry publications on parking policy, car ownership, urban density, technology and vehicle safety, as well as housing affordability and economic productivity (see Google Scholar).

Francis currently co-leads OSTEA Consulting, partnering with other consultants and academics to provide value for money to clients in a range of sectors and countries. Francis is affiliated with various well reknowned consulting and academic organisations.
